Significance of Char Dham Yatra

One of the most religious and sacred in Hindu yatra is Char Dham Yatra, which is celebrated every year in Uttarakhand state. This Yatra believes in enlightening people’s souls and to attain salvation. The majority of Indians and even Hindu religious people from all over the world go for this Yatra to gain moksha or liberation. 

Introduction

This Yatra majorly consists of four religious sites, and they are Yamunotri( dedicated to goddess Yamuna), Gangotri (dedicated to goddess Ganga), Kedarnath( dedicated to Lord Shiva) and Badrinath( dedicated to Lord Badri or Vishnu ). All these four places have some specific deity for worship and hold their importance. These religious places are located in the Garhwal Himalaya ranges in Uttarakhand.

Day 1-Start from Delhi

Our first day of the tour will start with Delhi, and we will depart from there by 9 pm. 

Day 2- Haridwar to Sayan-a-Chatti

Out second day will be exploring Haridwar, which is considered to be one of the most prestigious places. We will arrive at Haridwar at 5 am in the early morning, and after enjoying the holy place, we will depart from there by 7 am. 

Day 3- Hanulam Chatti to Yamunotri, stay at Janki Chatti

We will travel and reach Hanuman Chatti, which is a base camp. It’s a beautiful place located at the meeting point of the Ganga and Yamuna rivers. 

Proper arrangements are there to stay in Sayan-a-Chati (Hanuman Chatti) at night. After relaxing a little in Hanuman Chatti and Getting freshen up, the travel will depart at 5 am. 

We will reach Yamunotri, the first crucial site of char Dham Yatra on the third day at noon. 

After doing the darshan of goddess Yamuna and enjoying all the glaciers, mountains, and experiencing peace, the travel will get departed around 2 pm.

The travel will reach Janaki chati around 7 pm. It’s a beautiful village known for its nature. The weather is nice and surrounded by greenery. A large number of pilgrimage stays there for some while to enjoy the beauty. The travel will remain there at night for the people to rest and enjoy India’s real beauty.

Day 4- Janki chatti to Uttarkashi

On the fourth day, the travel will depart for Janaki Chatti by 7 am and arrive at Uttarkashi by 5 pm. It is again a tourist place and which is famous for its adventurous activities. Uttarkashi is a holy place with many temples and ashrams to relax. After enjoying the pleasure of Uttarkashi and staying at night, the bus will depart in the morning.

Day 5-Uttarkashi to Gangotri, back to Uttarkashi for stay

On the fifth day, the travel will arrive in Gangotri around 10 am. Gangotri is pure bliss. It’s famous for its serenity. It has a beautiful landscape, mountain, greenery all around. It’s magnificent, and it’s the leading site among four others. The bus will depart at 3 pm and go back to Uttarkashi around 7 pm for the night stay.

Day 6- Uttarkashi to Gaurikund

On the sixth day, the bus will depart at 5 am from Uttarkashi and arrive at Gaurikund (Rampur) by late 6 pm. Gaurikund is the main point for trekking to Kedarnath. It’s named after goddess Parvati. The place is captivating and breathtaking. Travel will stay in Rampur for a night stay.

Day 7- Gaurikund to Kedarnath

On the seventh day, the travel will leave out for Kedarnath by 5 am and reach 11 am. Kedarnath is the third main point of char Dham Yatra. It’s a very close Mandakini river. This place is famous for Lord Shiva. After the shrine of Kedarnath temple and exploring the beautiful view, the travel will make halt theirs for night stay.

Day 8- Kedarnath to Rampur

Day 9- Rampur to Badrinath

It has a famous Badrinarayan temple, which is named after Lord Vishnu. There are many beautiful stories of nad myths related to this holy place. One of the beliefs is that Lord Vishnu took over the position of Lord Shiva and sent him to Kedarnath.

Day 10- Badrinath to PipalKoti

On the tenth day, the travel will depart from Badrinath by 1 pm and reach pipal KotiKoti by 6:30 pm. The night stay will be in pipal KotiKoti, which is famous for mountains and valleys. Various types of oak and coniferous forests are placed there.

Day 11- PipalKoti to Rishikesh to Haridwar

On the eleventh day, the travel will depart from pipal Koti by 5 am and reach Rishikesh by 1 pm. It’s famous for bringing spirituality and peace in Hinduism. It’s covered with rivers, mountains, and greenery. All spiritual seekers go and practice yoga and meditation in various ashrams available at Rishikesh. The travel will depart from Rishikesh by 4 pm and reach Haridwar by 5 pm.

Haridwar drives a large number of Indians Hindu and tourists from all over the world to gain spirituality and gain moksha. After enjoying the peace and beauty of Haridwar, the travel will depart by 11 pm for Delhi.

Day 12- Back to Delhi from Haridwar

On the twelfth day, the traveler reaches Delhi by 4:30 am, and the pilgrimage can return to their home.
